Aspen Mesh is looking for a high-performing, tech-savvy Director of Sales to meet our customer acquisition and revenue goals. You’ll lead a growing team of Account Executives and Solution Engineers selling Aspen Mesh solutions globally. This is an outstanding opportunity to have a deep impact in the fast-growing space around microservices infrastructure.

What will you do?

  • Own and hit/exceed quarterly sales targets
  • Develop and execute strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base
  • Lead and grow a team of experienced technical sales professionals
  • Partner with customers to understand their business needs and objectives
  • Effectively communicate the Aspen Mesh value proposition through proposals and presentations
  • Understand trends and needs in modern application infrastructure
  • Own and improve the Aspen Mesh sales processes and tooling
  • Partner with the F5 sales operations team to leverage existing processes and tooling where appropriate
  • Work closely with your peers in Marketing and Services to deliver a consistent, metrics-driven customer experience

Your knowledge, skills and abilities

  • Experience leading a sales team for a highly technical solution
  • Proven sales executive experience, meeting or exceeding targets
  • Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level
  • Proven track record to drive the sales process from plan to close
  • Ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services
  • Ability to position products against competitors
  • Experience selling infrastructure solutions to enterprises
  • Experience working with CTO, CIO and/or VP DevOps
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills

How do you qualify?

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field; advanced business or technology degree preferred
  • At least 3 years in a sales leadership role selling to enterprises
  • At least 10 years enterprise sales experience
