Aspen Mesh is looking for a talented Service Provider technical program manager (TPM) who is an authority in service mesh with excellent interpersonal skills, strength working cross-functionally, with ability to influence and facilitate others to solve business problems and deliver solutions.

The position requires a unique blend of service provider knowledge and technical savviness: ability to understand the customer vision (big-picture vision), the drive to guide telecom customers to make that vision a reality, and technical credibility to engage and drive work with software engineers and ability to interact with support to ensure customer issues are resolved in a timely manner. The TPM will be presenting complex technical challenges and resolutions to leadership and other stakeholders.

What you will do:

  • Demonstrate ownership and autonomy in owned service provider accounts and drive delivery of high-quality results.
  • Maintain and continue to develop a broad knowledge of Telcom service providers business & technology expertise – understand the interconnections between the people, the processes, and the technology solutions.
  • Facilitate weekly call with assigned service provider (Telcom) accounts including ensuring collaboration with account vendors.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts to customers in an easy-to-understand way.
  • Negotiate challenging priorities and navigate complex organizational dynamics to establish delivery plans, work through any issues and manage customer escalations.
  • Work with internal engineering teams to solve customer problems and deliver solutions.
  • Act as primary point of contact for resident engineers spearheading their technical development of the Aspen Mesh Solution.
  • Collaborate with product management, account management and the customer to ensure technical enhancement requests are accurately detailed and prioritized.
  • Develop strong relationships to engage, align, and empower people to deliver results to customer on time and within scope.
  • Bring an outstanding blend of business and technical savvy: a solid understand of Telcom networks (4g, 5g), the drive to make Telcom customers vision a reality, and technical credibility to engage with software engineers (Telcom, Istio, Kubernetes experience).
  • Proactively identify technical and process driven issues that may impair the customer’s ability to meet strategic, and technical goals.
  • Build strategies for issue and risk mitigation and contingency planning.
  • Responsible for upholding F5’s Business Code of Ethics and for promptly reporting violations of the Code or other company policies.

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or four or more years of work experience.
  • Team lead or Project Management experience on a strategic long-term project.
  • Two or more years work experience with service mesh, 5G/4G call flows and design.
  • A strong understanding of service providers architecture.
  • 3+ years of Kubernetes experience is required.
  • Ability to work in highly stressful/challenging customer environments.
  • Strong technical acumen of the Telcom Market.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including executive level communications and experience creating proposals, design summaries and presentations.
  • Demonstrable experience in developing C-level relationships.
  • Ability to demonstrate business acumen in presenting solutions.
  • Knowledge of WAN technologies, (4G/5G, M2M/IoT, MEC, SDWAN & SDP).
  • Knowledge of Telecom LTE, Service Mesh architecture.
  • Experience architecting IT infrastructure for scalable, distributed systems.
  • Even better if you have:

  • MA/MS in business or technology.
  • Industry certifications: CISSP, CISM, CISA, PCIP, CEH, GCIH, GPEN, CCSK, Security+
  • PMP Preferred not required.
  • Technology certifications preferred: CKA.
  •  Subject Matter Expertise & certifications in Software Defined Networks, Cloud, Security or Unified Communications.
  • Advanced design and experience in networking, applications and security.
  •  Successful penetration of new accounts, and building successful client relationships across an entire spectrum of buyers, influencers and C-Level decision makers across a broad spectrum of solutions.
